Anand Sahasranaman

Co-Founder

Anand has a background as a practitioner in structured finance and financial inclusion, and as an academic in mathematics and economics. He works on understanding social systems and processes through the lens of complexity science and computational models. He was a founding member of IFMR Trust (now, Dvara Group) and founding faculty at Krea University. Anand holds a PhD in Mathematics from Imperial College London, where he was a Schrodinger Scholar, and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.

Bharath M. Palavalli

Co-Founder

Bharath is a researcher who uses a complex adaptive systems lens in his work. He was elected to the Ashoka Fellowship in 2018 for creating tools to help different stakeholders collaboratively create public policy, at Fields of View, a non-profit research organisation, he co-founded. Occasionally, he teaches courses on Tools for Participation in Public Policy, Games as Research Tools, and Data in Public Policy. He maintains a list of books on Bangalore, and mails postcards with poems that seem appropriate for the times we live in.

Srinath Srinivasa

Co-Founder

Srinath Srinivasa heads the Web Science lab and is the Dean (R&D) at IIIT Bangalore, India. Srinath holds a Ph.D (magna cum laude) from the Berlin Brandenburg Graduate School for Distributed Information Systems (GkVI) Germany, an M.S. (by Research) from IIT-Madras and B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) Mysore. He works in the area of Web Science — that models of the impact of the web on humanity. Technology for educational outreach and social empowerment has been a primary motivation driving his research.

Sruthi Krishnan

Co-Founder

Sruthi is a writer and researcher. Once upon a time, she was an engineer and then moved into journalism, and worked with The Hindu. Later, she researched and designed tools for participatory planning for public policy at Fields of View, a non-profit research organisation, she co-founded. She is the co-author of the book 'We are not users: Dialogues, Diversity, and Design' published by MIT Press in 2020. Now, she writes letters from her middle ages and tries to write longer stories.
